Due to its proximity to Puerto del Rosario and its good bathing conditions, Playa Blanca functions as the city beach of the capital island Fuerteventuras. The beach consists mainly of fine sand.
The waves are mostly flat in the front bathing area, which is delimited by buoys, only at the rear do the waves partly become somewhat higher. Depending on the conditions, windsurfers and surfers will also find good conditions here.
